The Helen Keller National Center
for Deaf-Blind (HKNC) offers intensive and comprehensive rehabilitation
training to individuals who are Deaf-Blind. One of ten regional centers,
Helen Keller Northwest is part of HKNC, and more than forty affiliated
programs, a national training team, technical assistance center,
and older adults programs.

The Deaf-Blind Service Center is
committed to assisting Deaf-Blind People in reaching and maintaining
their highest possible quality of life and degree of personal autonomy.
The Deaf-Blind Service Center addresses the needs of Deaf-Blind adults

Welfare Rights Organizing Coalition

We aim to improve the quality of
life of area seniors; helping to enhance and prolong the independence
of this under-served population by providing healthy food, exercise,
and intellectual and creative stimulation, in a respectful, non-institutional

poverty allies whose purpose is to empower low income people to impact
welfare policy where it is made and where it is implemented. |

Not in Our Name is a nationwide
project opposed to endless war on the world, detention and round-ups
of immigrants, and police state restrictions. They hold weekly meetings,
organize events and protest marches, and rally people of conscience
to speak out against war.

Powerful Voices instills leadership
skills, fosters the development of critical thinking, and promotes
the individual
potential in adolescent girls. They offer innovative, evidence-based
programming in Seattle public middle schools, as well as in and out
of juvenile detention. |
