The total cost of a hearing aid(s) includes the
following services:
- electroacoustic evaluation
- the earmold (if the behind-the-ear style is selected)
- fitting, training, and post-fitting
recheck appointments during the first year
- one package of batteries
- maintenance/service for the length
of the hearing aids warranty period (no less than one year)
Please note: the initial diagnostic hearing
evaluation is not included and must be paid for separately. However,
most medical insurance companies will pay for at least a portion
of the hearing test. Contact your insurance for an explanation of
your benefits.
Hearing Aid Options and Pricing
Recent advances in technology have led to
the introduction of many new and innovative hearing aids. The availability
of programmable and digital hearing aid systems
greatly improves the quality and flexibility of hearing aid performance.
These new products also add to the options you have when choosing a new
hearing aid.
In order to help you decide which product is best suited to your needs,
we have summarized their features and prices in the following manner:
- Tier I Standard Conventional
Instruments - Designed for individuals living
relatively quiet lifestyles, main concern is hearing spouse
and/or television.
Price Range $750 - $1000 per hearing aid.
- Tier II Conventional Instruments
with Specialized Circuitry - Designed for previous
hearing aid wearers interested in upgrading or those who
have tried other conventional aids unsuccessfully, individuals
with sensitivity to loud sounds.
Price Range $850 - $1300 per hearing aid.
- Tier III Digital & Digitally
Programmable Instruments - Designed for active
individuals, previous users of hearing aids looking to
improve hearing in the presence of noise, those interested
in high technology, or those people with difficulty tolerating
loud sounds. Computer based, multiple memory system (two
aids in one), multiple band compression. Several controls
available for adjustment. Products available: ReSound,
Widex Senso, Phonak Audio Zoom, Oticon Digifocus, Siemens
Prisma, Starkey, Audio D, and more.
Price Range $1000 to $2600 per hearing aid.
- Tier IV Deep Canal Insertion
Instruments - Designed when major concerns are
cosmetics in addition to clarity. Available in linear,
K-Amp, digital, or digitally programmable circuitry. No
volume control.
Price Range $1300 - $2600 per hearing aid.

the size and shape of your ear, degree and configuration of your
hearing loss, your typical listening environments, your dexterity,
and cost.
Payment
The hearing aid(s) must be paid for in full when received. Cash,
check, Mastercard, or VISA can be used when purchasing the aid(s).
