a number of workshops throughout the year. Some of these are geared
towards making your workplace more Deaf-Friendly. Others are for the

of clinicians and care-providers. |

This all-day workshop is presented
by the Hearing, Speech & Deafness Center’s Seattle Diversity
Works! program, and focus on creating a more Deaf-friendly workplace.
It is geared to human resources professionals, diversity affairs managers,
administrators, managers, supervisors, Deaf employees, and their hearing
co-workers. |

This workshop is designed for educators,
speech-language pathologists, school psychologists, and parents of
children with Asperger’s Syndrome. Topics will include how to tailor
lesson design, teaching strategies, error correction, reinforcement
strategies, and behavior management strategies to the needs of these
students.

This class is appropriate for speech pathologists,
audiologists, parents and educators working with children who are deaf
or hard of hearing. This program familiarizes participants with the
use of hearing technology in treatment, including cochlear implants,
hearing aids and FM / soundfield systems. |

This training is appropriate for parents, teachers,
therapists, family members, mental health professionals, and others
who support, teach and interact with individuals of any age who display
unwanted or problematic behavior, regardless of the individual’s
clinical label. |
