Thanks to partnerships with the Lucky 7 Foundation and Puget Sound area schools, the Hearing, Speech & Deafness Center continues its Deaf Youth Leadership Program. Established for Deaf students throughout the Northwest, the program takes place in high schools. Students work with Deaf professionals in the following areas: planning for college, career planning and employment services, management training, presentation skills, computer training, and community leadership.

HSDC occasionally has interships available for Deaf high school students. Interns gain on-the-job training and experience that will better prepare them for future careers.
