Deaf & Hard of Hearing Services incorporates an involvement in community groups and contact with other organizations and service providers. This includes presentations and orientations to other health and human services organizations, businesses, and schools. These presentations include information about our programs and the issues we address such as Deaf Awareness, Deaf Culture, TTY trainings, and American Sign Language (ASL) Classes.

We work with social service agencies and local businesses to improve their ability to better serve you.
We advocate for communication and understanding between the Deaf and hard of hearing communities and social service agencies, businesses, medical specialists, and the hearing community.
We help design school curricula and equal access office and home spaces.
We offer staff training on working with an interpreter and running meetings effectively.
HSDC North Sound (Bellingham Office) offers informal American Sign Language (ASL) classes that are open to everyone.
