Our Goals |
| |
|
| |
We believe children advance to the best
of their abilities when their emerging skills are reinforced in
a context of acceptance and respect. Using a team approach, we
provide parents, siblings, extended family and caregivers with
the education and emotional support to create an environment that
promotes a child's natural development of: |
| |
| |
| |
| |
|
| |
Language - through American Sign Language
(ASL),spoken language,
Auditory Sandwiching |
| |
|
| |
Auditory Skills - with hearing aids, FM systems,
cochlear implants |
| |
|
| |
Cognition - through age appropriate play |
| |
|
| |
We are committed to parent education in visual communication,
child development, hearing loss and amplification, community and
parent-to-parent connections. We welcome families with deaf or
hard of hearing infants and toddlers who have a developmental delay
such as deaf-blindness, vision loss, or cerebral palsy. |
| |
|
| |
Our inclusive philosophy provides access to various modes of
communication, so your child can develop a foundation of language
that will serve well for learning to read and write. We support
the idea that each child is a child first - someone who needs to
laugh and play, love and be loved and be an integral part of family
life and culture. Communication allows families to build upon that
relationship. |
