Greetings from HSDC!
We hope you're all enjoying your summer.
Here at the Center, we're working hard and having fun!

Our Audiology & Hearing Aids clinic scored a 96% - the top score – in overall superior quality from a widely published
consumer resource!
This was the highest among 36 hearing aid dispensers reviewed. At HSDC, customer service and satisfaction remain our highest priority.

Children from Chernobyl were back in August.
Every year, groups of children come from Chernobyl to get much needed hearing aids and follow-up. The hearing aids are donated from our friends at Oticon and HSDC donates our audiology services. It’s always a happy day for all concerned.

We’re sending donated hearing aids to children in Kenya!

A long-time friend of the Center and leader in the Seattle Deaf Community is traveling to Kenya soon and he had the wonderful idea of taking hearing aids to children in need. We were happy to partner with him by providing the hearing aids!

93% of Children Demonstrate Significant Progress at HSDC!

These children show great achievement and progress in their communication, cognitive, motor and/or social skills development. These children are successful participants in our Parent-Infant Program (PIP) and our Speech, Language & Learning clinic.

The Deaf Youth Leadership Program Starts Up Again This Fall!

With support from the Lucky Seven Foundation, HSDC has been going into elementary, middle and high schools for the past three years, offering mentoring sessions taught by Deaf Professionals. Part of our Deaf & Hard of Hearing Services, this program provides positive role models, leadership development, academic support and service learning projects to students who experience hearing loss.

Our Early Childhood Education Work is Growing by Leaps and Bounds!

With a Family Preschool for Deaf, Deaf-Blind and Hard of Hearing children and their families, we have expanded our work from birth to three – now offering critical early learning up to age five.

Also coming soon:
A Speech Language Preschool and a Literacy Lab for children and youth ages 3 – 18.

And so much more….

As we continue our work, we are inspired by a shared vision:

That all individuals will realize their full communication potential.

Join us, won’t you?
